Initiation involves a psychic change from one level of awareness to another more mature level of knowledge.  It creates an archway through which one passes to a new manner of being in the world.

Ever since I was a young child I remember having a sense of the spiritual realm --  a place that was mysterious and couldn’t be described or seen.  It was a realm I could feel but not see or touch.  Somehow it was the most real thing I knew.  Even more real than my parents or the world around me that I could perceive.  I rarely talked about this with anyone.

My Education & Experience

I graduated from UC Davis and have had leadership roles in a variety of industries: working with CEOs on marketing, a past CEO myself, business consulting, and guiding people to help them find the path of their dreams. Tending the soul began in my volunteer years with numerous organizations: Sonoma Academy, Memorial Hospice of Santa Rosa, Redwood Food Bank, and Veriditas. My passion to help others achieve their goals and find some inner peace is what compelled my offerings as a life coach.

Spiritual Life Coach in Sebastopol, CA

I’ve been on a path of initiation all of my life.   One of the greatest lessons came around age 35 when I realized I could no longer remain on the path that had been set out for me by my parents and society.  Having become disillusioned despite great material success, I was compelled to change my life.  I wanted to be the change in the world I wanted to see.  It's a longer story, of course, but the core of it involves sacrificing a familiar path of security and taking a leap of faith into the unknown based on a vision, and trusting my intuition.   Although fraught with peril, this transition allowed for opportunities and synchronicities that I could have never imagined.  My soul had been awakened, and there was no going back!

I know my purpose for being here is to serve others in a meaningful way.  As a holder of sacred space, I facilitate a process of inquiry to help you clarify your own core values so you can discover/awaken to your Life Purpose.  Then from this grounded place, you can follow your passion with confidence and conviction.

I have a daily meditation practice that is founded in Soto Zen Buddhism, and have had this practice for decades.  Cathedrals in particular provide me with connection to the higher realms of spiritual hierarchies. Silent retreat centers also support my spiritual path.

Wild Geese

A Poem by ~ Mary Oliver

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.
Tell me about despair -- yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the Landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your Imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting - over and over
Announcing your place in the family of things.
